POSSESSION and growing cannabis plants at home for recreational use is now legal in Germany.
Starting on April 1st, adults are allowed to carry up to 25 grams of cannabis for their own consumption and store up to 50 grams at home.
The upper chamber of Germany’s parliament cleared the way to partially legalize cannabis on Friday.
However, the measure could still face opposition from delegates in the federal council.
The parliament’s lower house approved the cannabis bill last month.
