Jonathan Morales reveals attempt to deter attendance on PDEA leaks Senate hearing

AN attempt was made to prevent former PDEA agent Jonathan Morales from attending the Senate hearing on PDEA leaks.

During the Senate Committee Hearing on Public Order and Dangerous Drugs regarding the PDEA leaks or sensitive documents linking Pres. Bongbong Marcos to alleged drug use in the past, Morales detailed how he was attempted to be deterred.

He claimed that on May 1, someone visited his home to persuade him not to attend Senator Bato dela Rosa’s hearing at the Senate. At 10:30 in the morning, a certain Romy Enriquez purportedly visited him, informing him that Eric Santiago from Napolcom wanted to talk to him via video call. Allegedly present in the video call were James Kumar and First Lady Liza Araneta-Marcos.

“Padre, I told him, this Jonathan, not to proceed because Duterte and Marcos are clashing, he might get involved. That’s what Romy Enriquez said on CCTV,” according to Jonathan Morales, Former PDEA agent.

Morales further stated that Santiago was the one preventing him from attending the Senate, warning him that he might be harmed if he continued. Santiago allegedly expressed a desire to help Morales.

“Now, this Pikoy, Eric Santiago, he’s very insisting. He said, let’s help him because without it, he’ll get killed,” Morales added.

Jonathan Morales is the signatory to the controversial PDEA leaks.

During the same hearing, it was confirmed by actress Maricel Soriano herself that she owns the condo unit mentioned in the leaked document.

Soriano is one of the personalities mentioned in the document allegedly using cocaine with Bongbong Marcos.

Morales challenged Senator Bato to invite former President Rodrigo Duterte to validate his statements during the hearing.

To recall Duterte previously mentioned Marcos Jr.’s name in the PDEA’s narcolist.

But Senator Bato responded that he does not want the Senate investigation on the PDEA leaks to be politicized, hence he has no plans to invite Marcos Jr. and former President Duterte.
