VICE President Sara Duterte paid tribute to the bravery and service of Sgt. Jernell Ramillano, a fallen soldiers in Balayan, Batangas, fought against the New People’s Army, the armed wing of the Communist Party of the Philippines.
In her message, VP Duterte recalled a question asked to her by the mother of a soldier who died in 2018 due to NPA combat in Davao City.
The soldier’s mother asked the Vice President how many more of their children would die because of NPA terrorists.
According to the Vice President, many more soldiers are willing to sacrifice their lives if the traitorous CPP-NPA-NDF is disregarded.
She also stressed that many youths may be unable to complete their education if these groups are allowed to victimize them and turn them into armed terrorists.
“Many more [soldiers like] Sgt. Ramillano and 1st Lt. Relota will sacrifice their lives if we ignore the traitorous, deceitful, and violent enemy CPP, NPA, and NDF. Many youths won’t be able to finish their studies if we let these groups victimize them and turn them into armed terrorists,” according to Vice President Sara Duterte, Republic of the Philippines.

Vice President Duterte also conveyed to the public that the CPP-NPA-NDF has no other intention but to overthrow the government.
“Fellow citizens, I want you to know that the sole objective of the CPP, NPA, and NDFP is to destroy the foundation of our democracy, overthrow government institutions, and drag us into poverty, chaos, and injustice,” VP Duterte added.
The Vice President further emphasized that terrorists, who have long been obstacles to our peaceful living and hindered the progress of communities, should no longer be given attention.
