IN Australia, a young mother faced one of her worst real-life nightmares after her car was stolen in broad daylight while her baby was inside the vehicle.
The footage released by the Queensland Police saw a woman casually approaching the driver’s side of a gray Nissan Patrol before she quickly jumped into the vehicle and drove away.
The vehicle was parked in a click-and-collect bay at the Yeppoon Shopping Centre, in Queensland, on Wednesday afternoon when the thief stole the car in broad daylight.
The thief, however, realized that a baby was inside the car so she returned to the scene and demanded for the child be removed from the vehicle.
A 16-year-old teenager who helped remove the four-month-old baby from the vehicle has been run over by the offender.
The baby was safe but the teenager and a 39-year-old woman were taken to the hospital due to leg injuries.
The CCTV footage also showed the female thief entering the shopping center with a man prior to the incident.
After the shocking footage was released, the police asked the public to help identify the woman who stole the vehicle and to give them any information regarding her whereabouts.
