NEDA hosts workshop on remote sensing for agriculture

THE NEDA Agriculture, Natural Resources, and Environment Staff (ANRES) conducted the Interagency Workshop on Mainstreaming Remote Sensing Technologies and Data in Monitoring and Assessing Agricultural Production yesterday (August 12) at the Development Academy of the Philippines Conference Center in Tagaytay City.

The workshop gathered various government agencies, LGUs, and academic institutions to identify mechanisms for overcoming barriers to remote sensing adoption and to initiate efforts toward collaboration and harmonization of remote sensing-related initiatives. These efforts will eventually lay the groundwork for developing a strategy roadmap.

According to ANRES, the effective use of these technologies and their data will enable targeted and timely policy interventions for managing inflation.
