SA isang pahayag pinuri ni Vice President Sara Duterte ang Philippine National Police (PNP), Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP), at iba pang ahensiya ng gobyerno sa likod ng pagkakahuli sa top-ranking New People Army (NPA) leader na si Eric Casilao nitong Lunes.
“Let me congratulate the Philippine National Police, the Armed Forces of the Philippines, and the other government agencies behind the arrest of Eric Casilao on Monday,” pahayag ni VP Sara Duterte.
Ayon kay Vice President Duterte, hawak ni Casilao ang isang mahalagang posisyon sa NPA at aktibong naghahanda ng mga planong atakehin ang mga puwersa at imprastraktura ng gobyerno, atakehin ang mga sibilyan, ang pagpatay sa mga lider ng Lumad, at ang puwersahang pangongolekta ng perang pangingikil mula sa mga kompanya ng pagmimina at agri-business.
“He holds an important position in the terrorist organization New People’s Army—actively hatching plans to attack government forces and infrastructures, attack civilian communities and the killing of Lumad leaders, and the forcible collection of extortion money from mining, and agri-business companies,” saad ni VP Sara Duterte.
Maraming buhay aniya, ang napinsala at nawasak dahil sa ideolohiya ng karahasan na itinataguyod ni Casilao at ng kaniyang teroristang grupo.
Aniya, ang mga pag-unlad sa kanayunan ay kabilang din sa mga nasawi sa kanilang walang kabuluhang layunin.
“Many lives have been tragically upended and destroyed because of the ideology of violence espoused by Mr. Casilao and his terror group. Developments in the countryside were also among the casualties of their senseless cause,” ayon kay VP Duterte.
Dagdag pa ni VP Duterte, ang pagkaaresto kay Casilao ay simula lamang ng paglaban para sa hustisya para sa mga biktima ng karahasan na ginawa ng teroristang NPA na pinamumunuan ni Casilao sa maraming bahagi ng Mindanao, kabilang ang mga rehiyon ng Davao at Caraga.
“The arrest is only the beginning of the fight for justice for the victims of the bloodbath and other forms of violence perpetrated by the terrorist NPA headed by Mr. Casilao across many parts of Mindanao, including the regions of Davao and Caraga,” dagdag ni VP Sara Duterte.
Natutuwa siya sa pagkabagsak ni Casilao at sana aniya ay makamit ng lahat ng namatay dahil kay Casilao ang hustisya.
“I am glad that finally, Mr. Casilao has fallen, and I hope that all who died because of Mr. Casilao will get justice,” ani VP Duterte.
