Nagdeklara ng ‘defensive war’ sa military government ang National Unity Government ng Myanmar o parallel government na binubuo ng pro-democracy forces ng Myanmar kontra sa militar ng bansa.
Ayon sa National Unity Government acting President na si Duwa Lashi La ng Parallel government, hinihikayat ng mga ito ang mga residente na lumaban sa mga military.
Hindi naman malinaw kung ang tinutukoy nito ay aktwal na pakikipaglaban.
Binigyang diin ni Duwa Lashi La na maraming indibidwal ang nadetine at nasawi matapos matanggal sa pwesto si Aung San Suu Kyi.
“With the responsibility to protect the life and properties of the people the parallel government calls on units within the People’s Defense Force its armed wing, to contain the military and its supporting organizations in their respective areas,’’ayon kay Duwa Lashi La.
“All the civil servants under the military council, we warn and forbid you from going to the office from today onward,”dagdag nito.
Nanawagan rin ito sa mga ethnic minority group na atakihin ang Coup leader at military Chief na si Gen Min Ang Hlaing at ang militar na pinamumunuan nito.
Mula noong February 1 coup, umabot na sa 1,049 na katao ang nasawi ang 7,904 na katao naman ang nadetine.
“As the people’s revolution begins, all the soldiers, the polices forces, and civil servants who have been deceived and suppressed by Min Aung Hlaing immediately join the People’s Defense Forces and immediately report to the Ministry of Defense and Ministry of Home Affair of National Unity Government,” ayon kay Duwa Lashi La.
