PBBM State of the Nation Address
Pastor Apollo C. Quiboloy expects President Marcos to address pressing issues in the second SONA.
Meanwhile, one of the heated discussions revolved around the current state of the Philippines following a year of President Marcos’ governance.
According to Pastor Apollo, he cannot immediately pass judgment on the Marcos administration.
“President Bongbong Marcos. I cannot judge him right away, right now because it’s too early. I’ll wait for I think 3 years, for us to see really the in road developments that are happening this administration. But, right now I cannot say anything yet,” he said.
Pastor Apollo also emphasized that even before the 2022 elections, he mentioned the need to continue the leadership of former President Rodrigo Roa Duterte.
“Well, even before the election, when the Duterte administration was coming to an end and the election was upon us. I said it would be very easy for the next president to do because there’s already a template. You just have to continue it. The fight on drugs, the fight on corruption, our foreign policy. You know, like friends to all enemies to none. Those are the things that the Duterte administration has done that make us Filipinos proud. So, you have just to continue that. It’s already a template, you just have to continue. This is what I’m saying even before the election. And I hope that, if I became a president after President Duterte, it will be very, very easy for me because it’s already there. It’s already laid down,” Pastor Apollo said.
Meanwhile, Pastor Apollo expects President Marcos to address the solutions to the country’s primary obstacles in his upcoming State of the Nation Address.
“Well I’d like to hear from the president the solution to the blockade of our development which are the problems that are existing. Like the resurgence of this drug problem involving the police and also, graft and corruption that are now being prevalent. I don’t know if it’s just gossip or hearsay but also the economic development of our country and this is the gate of how the country is moving forward.”
