PRESIDENT Ferdinand R. Marcos, Jr. awarded a gigantic project to the residents of Batangas 2nd district for an area to develop; one must have access to good roads.
This is the dream of every local government especially those in remote areas.
And so, residents of Batangas 2nd District are lucky enough as the national government will fill their road needs.
Friday, April 28, the groundbreaking ceremony was held for the Mabini-Bauan-San Luis-Taal-Lemery road.
This gigantic project has a total length of 21.71 kilometers.
It will be made into a 4-lane paved road, with bike lanes, and have eight bridges included.
The bridge will pass through the coastal lane of Mabini, Bauan, straight to San Luis, and through Taal to Lemery.
“The total needed allocation for this is p5.9 billion? That is for the entire stretch of 21.71 kilometers,” said Rep. Gerville “Jinky Bitrics” Luistro 2nd District Batangas.
The construction of the project is planned to take until 2028 to be completed especially since there are a lot of right-of-way claims that must be settled.
But the local government is confident that all residents will pave the way for the development.
“We are lucky that it had an initial allocation of P105 million. However, just like what everybody heard earlier from Secretary Manny, the allocation will now be continuous. The work will be continuous,” Rep. Luistro added.
On the part of the national government, public works Secretary Manny Bonoan said that projects started by the Duterte administration would continue in the current leadership, especially in Mindanao.
“The backbone of the highway network is from Cagayan to Davao. The former Maharlika Highway will be constructed by… so that the journey here is continuous.”
“This 2023 program of ours, we are going to carry out 17,000 projects and many thanks to the Congress for giving us a big budget to carry out this program of our President,”
“Once the Mabini-Bauan-San Luis-Taal-Lemery road is done, Metro Manila residents will have easier access to Batangas for vacation. A huge help in the improvement of tourism, all thanks to the President,” said Sec. Manny Bonoan, DPWH.
“Definitely, thanks to our President Ferdinand R. Marcos, Jr. and we are happy to be part of President Marcos administration. We honestly believe the Build Better More program of our President and Ibelieve that this infrastructure program, these are the gateway to progress,” Luistro said.
