PCG, ICG strengthen camaraderie

THE Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) and Indian Coast Guard (ICG) have strengthened their camaraderie through a four-day port visit in Manila from 25 to 28 March 2024.

This morning, the Commanding Officer of Indian Coast Guard Ship “Samudra Paheredar” Deputy Inspector General Sudhir Ravindran, paid a courtesy call to Chief of Coast Guard Staff Philippine Coast Guard, CG Rear Admiral Hostillo Arturo Cornelio at the National Headquarters, Port Area, Manila.

The officials discussed the PCG’s mandated functions as well as the ICG’s possible contribution to PCG modernization and industry cooperation.

Also present during the meeting were Deputy Chief of Coast Guard Staff for International Affairs (CG-5), CG Commodore Algier Ricafrente; Deputy Chief of Coast Guard Staff for Operations (CG-3), CG Captain Dann August Cariño; and Assistant to the Defense Attache Embassy of India in the Philippines, Captain Saikat Chatterjee.
