PCG to build station in San Simon Pampanga

THE Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) will build a station at a 2,000 square-meter lot within the Government Center in San Simon, Pampanga.

On 05 June 2024, the PCG conducted a ceremonial groundbreaking for the construction of the Coast Guard Station (CGS) Pampanga.

The event was graced by Pampanga Fourth Congressional District Representative Dr. Anna York Bondoc and Coast Guard Marine Environmental Protection Command (CGMEPCOM) Commander, CG Vice Admiral Roy Echeverria.

According to the Coast Guard District National Capital Region – Central Luzon (CGDNCR-CL), Representative Bondoc assisted in providing Php 8 million to fund the infrastructure project.

During his speech, CG Vice Admiral Echeverria said CGS Pampanga will host at least 50 PCG personnel who will implement coastal security and improve rescue operations in the province.

For her part, Representative Bondoc emphasized that the new PCG station will significantly contribute to promoting peace and order.

The CGDNCR-CL shared the legislator also advocates the establishment of PCG satellite offices at her district’s eight towns to enhance community safety and attract more businesses investments.
