Police exploited for political agendas, says former cadre

FORMER cadre Jeffrey Ka-Eric Celiz revealed that the police are being used in dirty political games.

This is in connection with the abuse and harassment by the PNP-SAF and PNP-CIDG on members of the Kingdom of Jesus Christ (KOJC).

Because of this, our Muslim brothers and sisters cannot help but fear that it might be done to them as well.

Gun threats, scaling walls, breaking gates, deploying snipers, and abusing defenseless civilians were just some of the inhumane actions by the PNP-Special Action Force and PNP-CIDG when they raided not just one, not two, but five compounds of the religious group KOJC in the early morning of June 10.

The result of the raid? Fear and severe trauma among KOJC members, especially the children.

The abuse by the PNP was captured on video and CCTV footage, which have now been uploaded on social media, seen by thousands showing how the uniformed officers desecrated the congregation’s sacred place.

For former cadre Jeffrey “Ka-Eric” Celiz, it is clear that the police violated the human rights of the church members.

“We see in all the independent and viral video resources circulating now that they hurt children, women, and unarmed civilians. What do you call that? Is that just? Is that within the rules of procedure? Is that part of the rules of engagement? Is that in the SOP? General Marbil and Col. Jean Fajardo, review your actions. Do not deceive the people. The public is now judging you, and you are becoming Gestapo police like Hitler’s Gestapo during World War II,” stated Jeffrey “Ka-Eric” Celiz, Former Cadre.

He said the actions of the police were heinous.

“This is heinous and should not be ignored. Heinous in the sense that the excessive power of the state has been used against a very independent and very publicly known religious group and community, yet they used combat forces,” Celiz added.

After the incident, it was surprising that the PNP Police Provincial Office 11 and the PNP national headquarters immediately released statements denying what happened.

According to PRO 11, the police who raided the place of worship only carried basic equipment.

“Under established rules of engagement and operational procedures, our police personnel carry BASIC police equipment as part and mandated by our police operational procedures such as but not limited to issued firearms, restraining devices, personal protective equipment, and other accessories required for a particular type of operation being conducted,” statement of Police Provincial Office 11.

Meanwhile, the PNP headquarters said there were enough police officers present and that no one was harmed during the operation, even though many were hurt and shocked by their actions.

“PNP ensured the presence of an appropriate number of officers during the operation to maintain order and prevent any unforeseen incidents. We are pleased to report that the execution of the warrant was conducted without any harm to anyone,” statement of Philippine National Police.

“It is clear, clearer than midday sunlight, that the leadership and spokespeople of the Philippine National Police Special Action Force are lying. Over two battalions, these are combat forces used for anti-terrorism, for high-level crime operations. The question is, are the Kingdom of Jesus Christ and Pastor Apollo Quiboloy and his ministers terrorists? So, you can see, it is overkill, overacting, and a very excessive abusive deployment of state power used by the Philippine National Police,” Celiz added.

Ka-Eric added that what the PNP-SAF and PNP CIDG did was shameful, and that their heinous actions tarnished their organization.

He also said it is clear that the police are now being used in dirty political games.

“That is correct because they are allowing themselves to be used in dirty political games. The Philippine National Police, the Armed Forces of the Philippines must remain professional, dedicated, and true to their commitment under their constitutional duty. And what is that? To defend and protect the state and the people, not the politicians. That’s why the PNP looks ridiculous now, lying and making baseless statements that do not match their violation of the rights of religious organizations,” Celiz added.

Muslim sector war after KOJC raid incident: fearful of similar police abuse

Meanwhile, due to the abuses of the current administration, our Muslim brothers and sisters cannot help but fear.

In an interview with SMNI News, Nylene Mama, a representative of the Muslims, said that if the police could hurt defenseless civilians and servants of God, it is not impossible for them to exeperienced the same fate.

“It is not impossible for them to do that to us, especially with Nur Misuari supporting the then-presidential candidate BBM. Nur Misuari campaigned for BBM among the Muslims, so it is not impossible for it to happen to us,” according to Nylene Mama, Muslim Sector.

Nylene could not hold back her tears upon seeing innocent children affected by the actions of the police.

“And what happened in Davao to the innocent children and women, we saw how the authorities acted. Authorities are supposed to be allies of the people, but now it seems they are our enemies instead of our allies,” Mama added.

Finally, they made an appeal to President Bongbong Marcos.

“President BBM, we are pleading with you that if you can no longer lead the Philippines, step down. You do not belong in that position,” Mama concluded.
