AT a Thursday hearing led by the House Oversight Committee, Chair James Comer accused Biden of corruption.
Republicans claim Biden’s family used his VP role from 2009 to 2017 for personal gain.
Comer also issued subpoenas for bank records of Hunter Biden and the president’s brother, Frank, to check their finances.
Democrats and witnesses disagreed. They said there’s no evidence of wrongdoing by Biden when he was still vice president.
Reports say it’s not certain if Republicans can impeach Biden in the house, and even if they do, the democrat-led Senate is unlikely to remove him from office.
Meanwhile, Biden criticized former President Donald Trump, saying he’s a threat to democracy in a speech in Arizona.
The impeachment inquiry is a big deal, but it’s not clear how it will end, and both sides are sticking to their views.
