BINIGYANG-DIIN ng isa sa former rebel at estudyante ng University of the Philippines Diliman (UPD) na ang CPP-NPA-NDF ay nasa loob ng unibersidad upang makapag-recruit.
Sa programa na Laban Kasama ang Bayan ng SMNI ngayong araw, malinaw na ipinaliwanag ni Daniel Castillo o “Ka Steven” ang ginagawang pag-oorganisa ng CPP-NPA-NDF para humikayat ng mga estudyante.
Si Castillo ay isa sa dating miyembro ng New People’s Army at isa ring political instructor sa naturang organisasyon.
“The party branch of the Communist Party of the Philippines is the basic organization of the CPP. And every college inside a university merong party branch yan or at least kung walang party branch naka-program (ito) sa communist party na nag-oorganize na lagyan sila ng party branch,” ani Castillo.
“So, yung mga party branch, ito yung mga cell organizations and then the higher organization party branch ay yung party section committee – yun yung CPP organization na namumuno sa mga CPP activities inside UP,” dagdag nito.
Ayon kay Castillo ang pangunahing layunin kung bakit binuo ang iba’t ibang organisasyon ng CPP sa loob ng UP Diliman ay upang makapag-recruit ng mga potensyal na mga lider na magagamit sa loob ng kilusan.
“The purpose of the party organizations and party committees inside UP is to number one organize through the legal front organizations which are Anakbayan, LFS, Kabataan party-list, NUSP, CGP, SCMP and other front organizations so that from those organizations they recruit potential party cadres that eventually will take posts under the flag of the CPP and then eventually will become political cadres,” wika ni Castillo.
Dagdag nito, ang mga legal front ng CPP-NPA-NDF ay maskara lamang sa mas malalim pang pakay nito sa mga estudyante na maging miyembro ng New People’s Army.
“Then eventually when they say you have the potential to number one accept the principles of the CPP they will recruit you to the Communist Party,” aniya.
Samantala, sa kabila ng ginagawang paninira ng komunistang binansagang terorista ay ginagawa pa rin ng gobyerno ang lahat ng kayang gawin para matuldukan ang isa sa pangunahing problema ng bansa – ang insurhensiya.
“The CPP’s scheme when it comes to its legal democratic movement os very complicated. There are people who are knowingly giving covert to the CPP-NPA-NDF,” saad ni Castillo.
“Many people have fallen to the narrative of this Lumad exploitation, militarization, lack of services in the countryside when in fact the government has been doing its best to give solutions to these problems in the countryside but the CPP refuses to see that because if they try to be open to what is really happening sa countryside mawawalan sila ng issues na ma-eexploit nila,” dagdag nito.
Matatandaang naglabas kamakailan ng pahayag ng UPD na kinokondena di umano nito ang Philippine Military dahil sa pagkapaslang kay Chad Booc na may kasong Child trafficking at Cum laude sa nasabing unibersidad at isa pang kasamahan nito na si Gelejurain Nguho sa nangyaring engkwentro sa New Bataan, Davao de Oro.
