SMNI’s Tree Planting Activity brings together hundreds of volunteers from different sectors

THE Sonshine Media Network International (SMNI) in collaboration with DZAR 1026 Sonshine Radio and Sonshine Philippines Movement led a massive tree planting in Cuenca, Batangas which brought together volunteers from the different sectors.

Global warming and climate change pose serious threats to life on Earth.

Clearly it is very evident and currently humanity is experiencing its effect in the forms of widespread flooding and extreme weather.

With this, the Sonshine Media Network International continued its efforts to protect our environment as part of their commitment to true public service.

SMNI initiated a tree planting activity Saturday morning to help and strengthen the environment together with DZAR 1026 Sonshine Radio and Sonshine Philippines Movement in Brgy. Poblacion 7, Cuenca, Batangas.

The activity brought together volunteers from the different sectors including government agencies, non-government organizations, youth sector, business sector, local government units and men in uniform.

Hundreds of Narra and Molave seedlings were planted.

Men and women from the Philippine Air Force (PAF), Philippine Army (PA) 59th Infantry “Protector” Battalion, 31st Air Force Group Reserve, Cuenca Municipal Police Station, and BFP Cuenca joined the massive tree planting stressing that it is also their responsibility to take care of the environment.

‘’We thank your SMNI program for having this because you included us so that people can also see that the military is not only in the field of warfare but that we are also part of these activities for the development of what’s under our area of responsibility,’’ LTC Ernesto Teneza Jr. Batallion Commander, 59th Infantry Batallion.

‘’The Philippine Airforce, especially the ATDCI, supports these types of environmental projects; the preservation of our environment,’’ Capt. Rowell Mauhay, Philippine Airforce.

‘’This is very important as we take care of nature. We are one of the enforcers of the law regarding nature. It is very important that where we leave the youth, they will benefit from this,’’ PMAJ Ernie Delos Santos, Cuenca Municipal Police Station

‘’You are doing good activities. And we, together with the Bureau Fire Protection, along with my staff are thankful because these activities really improve our environment,’’ SINSP Noel Leyesa Municipal Fire Marshal Cuenca, Batangas

‘’In an advocacy, it should not only be the government, CESO that should help out, but also the community itself and community members. Because we can’t just leave it to the care of the government alone or just a part of it. This should be a collaboration of different sectors,’’ LTC Don Ayer Abrazaldo, Group Commander 31st Air Force Group Reserve.

Private sector and companies also participated in the tree planting activity stressing that apart from providing protection to the environment, it will also benefit human life.

‘’Our Mother Nature is growing weak. There are many entrepreneurs who focus on making money, increasing waste, but there are only a few people who initiate this kind of activity that focuses on helping our mother earth to recover. And that’s we were very happy that SMNI accommodated us to be one of the major sponsors,’’ Krystine Hernandez Founder and CEO Perfected Cosmetics & Skincare.

‘’So that we can also help our nature and also prevent us from such tragedies that causes floods. At least we can help those around us here,’’ Tes Esquilona, Sutla Glowcal Manufacturing.

Young people led by the Keepers Club International or KCI also took part in the tree planting activity conducted by SMNI.

They were thankful for the KCI Founding President, Pastor Apollo C. Quiboloy, for instilling in them the love for the environment and to take part in solving climate change problems.

‘’We continue to thank our chairman and founder of Keepers’ Club International, Pastor Apollo C. Quiboloy for the privilege of being one of those who participated in our tree planting in Cuenca, Batangas. And we are thankful and privileged because as young people, our beloved Pastor teaches us to really get involved in environmental activities. This is an important teaching of our dear Pastor,’’ Earl Joshua Bencio In-Charge Keepers Club International – Batangas Chapter.

Meanwhile, the Cuenca Municipal Government were very thankful to Pastor Apollo and SMNI for initiating the activity.

They were very blessed by the good Pastor’s big heart and care for the environment.

‘’Pastor Quiboloy, thank you very much. This tree planting activity you did here in our town is no joke. We are grateful. I know you very much love the environment, the environment. You are a messenger or a representative of our Lord,’’ Mayor Alex Magpantay Cuenca, Batangas.
