Tit-for-Tat: Iran threatens to retaliate after Israel warns to bomb nuke sites

A senior Iranian military commander said Israel’s nuclear facilities will be a sure target should its military attack Iran’s nuclear sites.

General Ahmad Haqtalab, commander of the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) unit for protecting Iran’s nuclear sites, made the warning after Israel hinted at the possibility of targeting such facilities in the Islamic Republic.

Iran made the remarks after Israel threatened to retaliate against the massive drone and missile attack last week.

According to Haqtalab, Iran had already identified nuclear centers in Israel and obtained the necessary information about those targets. He added Iran could fire powerful missiles to destroy those identified targets if Israel retaliates.

The Iranian general said the Islamic Republic had always been ready to deal with such threats, though other countries have been prevented from attacking nuclear facilities based on international protocols.
