ANKARA reports citing a Turkish diplomatic source claims that the United States continues to support the YPG/PKK terrorist organization in Syria.
According to reports, the U.S. continues to support the people’s protection units or YPG and Kurdistan Workers’ Party or PKK.
Turkiye, Australia, Canada, The U.S, The EU, recognize the PKK as a terrorist organization. NATO also refers to the PKK as a terrorist entity.
Turkiye sees YPG as a terrorist organization that is closely associated with the PKK.
Just recently, Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Gen. Mark Milley visited the regions occupied by the said terror group where U.S. State Department Spokesman Ned Price claimed that Milley only met with U.S. troops in Syria.
Following the incident, the U.S. Ambassador to Ankara, Jeff flake was apparently invited and given the necessary warnings and messages.
A Turkish diplomatic source said, “but this is a fact: regardless of whether or not this meeting is held, the US continues to support this terrorist organization.”
The issue over Washington’s support for the YPG continues to sour relations with Ankara.
