PINASALAMATAN at pinuri ni Vice President Sara Duterte ang awtoridad dahil sa mabilis na pagkakadakip sa isang indibidwal na nagpapanggap na empleyado ng Office of the Vice President (OVP).
Himas-rehas ang lalaking nagpanggap na isang empleyado ng OVP.
Modus ng suspek ang panghihingi ng financial assistance na aniya ay ilalaan para sa mga proyekto ng Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD)-Central Luzon.
Dahil sa report na natanggap ng pulisya, agad namang naaresto ang suspek na kinilalang si Joel Caliz, 41 taong gulang at taga-Caloocan City.
Nahaharap naman sa kasong usurpation of authority ang suspek.
Ayon kay Vice Presidential spokesperson Atty. Reynold Munsayac, pinuri ni VP Duterte ang San Jose del Monte Police dahil sa mabilis na pagkakahuli sa suspek.
“Vice President Sara Z. Duterte commends the San Jose del Monte Police for their swift action that led to the capture of an individual who falsely represented the OVP to illegally solicit money in San Jose del Monte, Bulacan on September 6,” pahayag ni Munsayac.
Nagpasalamat din si Duterte kay San Jose del Monte City Mayor Arthur Robes at sa kanyang mga tauhan sa pag-alerto sa pulisya tungkol sa mga operasyon ni Calis.
“ The Vice President also expresses her gratitude to San Jose del Monte City Mayor Arthur Robes and his staff for alerting the police about the operations of Joel Calis,” ayon kay Munsayac.
Hinimok naman ng OVP ang publiko na agad na ipaalam sa mga awtoridad ang mga indibidwal at grupo na kahina-hinalang nanghihingi ng pera at kumakatawan ng mga ahensiya ng gobyerno.
“The public is urged to immediately bring to the attention of the authorities individuals and groups that suspiciously solicit money and represent themselves as part of government agencies — for appropriate legal actions,” saad nito.
Maaaring tumawag, i-report o masiguro ang pagkakakilanlan ng mga tao na nagpapakilala na may kaugnayan sa OVP sa kanilang telephone numbers.
