39 trade unionists successfully completed the first Paralegal Training Program on Labor Rights and Remedies by the Department of Labor and Employment – DOLE, the University of the Philippines College of Law, and the UP Law Center.
Conducted through the DOLE’s Workers Organization Development Program (WODP), the paralegal training was launched on April 11 to provide trade unionists with an immersive learning experience covering the spectrum of labor laws – from foundational principles and workers’ rights and obligations to advanced legal topics.
DOLE Secretary Bienvenido E. Laguesma underscored the Department’s commitment to empowering workers’ organizations towards promoting industrial peace during the culminating activity of the six-day training program on April 20, in Quezon City.
