FORTY-one Coast Guard Special Operations Force (CGSOF) personnel have finished the Maritime Tactical Skill Training in Palawan on 15 November 2024.
The said capacity building initiative was facilitated by the Special Operations Task Force 511.2 composed of U.S. Marine Special Operations Command (MARSOC), USMC Force Reconnaissance, USCG Maritime Security Response Team-West.
According to the Coast Guard District Palawan (CGDPAL), the training enhanced the operational readiness and decision-making capabilities of Coast Guard personnel by refining their tactical, technical, and situational awareness skills. They also improved their operational performance in complex, dynamic, and potentially high-risk maritime environments.
CGDPAL Commander, Commodore Dennis Rem Labay PCG, presided over their graduation ceremony on board BRP Melchora Aquino (MRRV-9702).
