59IB neutralizes high-ranking CNT, two members in Batangas

ARMY operating troops of the 59th Infantry Battalion (59IB) of the 2nd Infantry Division (2ID) neutralized a high-ranking CPP-NPA Terrorist (CNT) and two other members during a focused military operations (FMO) at Brgy. Leviste, Rosario, Batangas on March 26, 2024.

The neutralized leader was identified as Junalice Arante-Isita, known as “Arya”, party wife of the late Isagani Isita or known as “Yano”, a leader of Southern Tagalog Regional Party Committee’s (STRPC) Sinag 2.

The other two members of Sub-Regional Military Area (SRMA)-4C that were also neutralized were identified as Bernardo Bagaas, also known as “John Paul”, logistics officer, and Erickson Bedonia, also known as “Ricky.

The Army leadership lauded the 59IB for their relentless efforts, which resulted in the neutralization of a high-ranking CNT and two other members of SRMA-4C.

Moreover, the 2ID leadership also encouraged the remaining CTG members to lay down their arms to pave the way for sustained peace and progress in the region.
