Former Chinese Premier Li Keqiang passes away

LI Keqiang, a member of the Standing Committee of the Political Bureau of the 17th, 18th, and 19th Communist Party of China Central Committee, and a former Premier of the country, passed away on Friday in Shanghai.

Li was resting in Shanghai when he suddenly suffered a heart attack, a CCTV report said he passed away after all rescue measures failed.

The former Premier, who was sixty-eight years old, held the second-highest leadership position in China until last year.

Li was known for his use of the English language on various occasions and conferences he attended outside the mainland.

It is worth noting that when President Bongbong Marcos visited China, he also had a meeting with former Premier Li Keqiang.
