BRAZILIAN President Luizinacio Lula da Silva held talks with the Crown Prince of Saudi Arabia in the Capital Riyadh.
The trip was a brief stop before he flew to the United Arab Emirates (UAE) to attend a climate summit.
Both leaders discussed promising investment opportunities and signed a deal in the field of energy.
Riyadh also showed interest in investing $10-B in Brazil, however, no deal has been finalized yet.
After Riyadh, Lula plans to visit Qatar and attend the 2023 United Nations Climate Change Conference in expo City Dubai from November 30 to December 12, 2023.
Last year, the 78-year-old leader received a hero’s welcome at the UN climate talks, where he told world leaders “Brazil is back” in the fight against global warming.
Lula plans to propose a conservation fund in this year’s UN climate summit after data showed deforestation in the Amazon dropped to 55% in one year.
