THOUSANDS of volunteers – adults and children alike-will gather once more in Abu Dhabi to pack critical aid relief for Palestinian families affected by the ongoing crisis in Gaza.

The latest initiative will happen days after volunteers showed up in Ajman – one of the seven emirates of the United Arab Emirates- to help deliver crucial supplies to affected Palestinians in the war-torn enclave.

More than 1,500 volunteers gathered in the UAE’s fifth—largest city to pack 3,000 boxes of aid earlier this week.

The Compassion for Gaza campaign has not even reached its first month yet but it already attracting massive attention since it started in Abu Dhabi on October 15.

The campaign aims to expand to all seven emirates across the UAE.

The latest aid collection scheduled on Sunday will be held at Abu Dhabi Cruise Terminal 2, in Mina Zayed Port, from 9 am to 2 pm.

So far, the campaign has gathered more than 16,000 volunteers who have helped prepare more than 61,000 urgent relief packages at events held across the UAE.

The UAE President, His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, ordered the launch of the ‘Gallant Knight 3’ humanitarian operation earlier this week on top of its previous pledge of $20 million for the Palestinians.
