WHAT the government has failed to do, former Ilocos Sur Gov. Chavit Singson promises to accomplish.
This was the assurance given by the well-known businessman during his speech after submitting his certificate of candidacy on Monday.
Chavit is aiming for a seat in the 2025 senatorial elections.
He stated that he would provide all e-vehicles, including jeeps, motorcycles, and tricycles, with no down payment and no interest.
“That will be all over the Philippines. It’s a big deal. I’m already working on it. My factory from Korea, worth 500 million, is arriving, and we’ll start by December,” according to Chavit Singson, Former Governor, Ilocos Sur.
Singson added that regardless of the outcome in the 2025 midterm elections, he will push through with this program.
He emphasized that it will be available to all drivers and operators across the country.
He also announced an upcoming meeting with stakeholders to kickstart the mass production of modern public vehicles.
“The quality is Korean technology. The body is made of thin but rust-resistant steel. We’ve already checked it. The prototype is here and is being used by transport groups,” Singson added.
The prominent billionaire also assured the public that funding for the program would not be an issue. He admitted that there might be financial losses, but said he does not see it as a problem since he is doing it for the benefit of the country.
