DEPARTMENT of Budget and Management (DBM) Secretary Amenah F. Pangandaman supports the decision of President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. (PBBM) to extend the employment of government employees under the contract of service (COS) and job order (JO) until December 31, 2025.
The decision was made during a sectoral meeting with the DBM, the Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG), the Civil Service Commission (CSC), and the Commission on Audit (COA) held at the Malacañang Palace on April 24, 2024.
In addition, PBBM instructed the government agencies to implement strategies that will develop the skills and capabilities of COS and JO workers in securing permanent positions.
