Death toll surpasses 2,300 amid intensifying clashes

THE death toll of the ongoing conflict continues to rise and the clashes continue to intensify.

More than 2,300 people were killed amid the Israel-Hamas war.

According to recent Israeli media reports, more than 1,200 people had been killed and 2,700 others injured in Israel following the unprecedented attack launched by Hamas on Saturday.

On the other hand, the Palestinian Health Ministry said a total of 1,128 Palestinians in the Gaza Strip and the West Bank had been killed and 5,489 others injured.

Of this number, 1,100 people were killed and about 5,339 others injured in the Gaza Strip.

Hamas, which controls the Gaza Strip, launched a massive surprise attack on Israel on Saturday.

In response, the Israeli military conducted air strikes targeting Hamas sites and headquarters in the coastal enclave.

The new round of conflict has led to massive casualties on both sides.

Israel’s Energy Minister Israel Katz ordered the Israeli national water company Mekorot to immediately cut off the water supply to Gaza on Sunday, and Israeli Defense Minister Yoav Gallant on Monday ordered the “complete siege” of the Gaza Strip, triggering a severe humanitarian crisis in the said area.

Hamas has threatened to kill and broadcast its executions if Israel continues its retaliation.

However, Israel said there would be no humanitarian exceptions to its Gaza siege until all hostages were freed.
