Dubai firm to launch over 100 flying cars in Middle East, Africa

DUBAL-based aviation company Aviterra is taking steps to transform public transport in the region with the introduction of flying cars.

The company has placed an order to acquire more than 100 flying cars from the Dutch firm PAL-V.

The advanced vehicles will be offered to customers in the Middle East and Africa, transporting residents from door to door.

The Dubai-based firm aims to launch the flying cars between 2025 to 2026.

It can turn from a car to a flying vehicle within two minutes and fly up to 11,000 feet high.

This mode of transport requires a 120-meter strip to be able to take off and use the same fuel as regular cars.

Flying cars seek to shorten travel time by avoiding congested roads and enhancing the travel experience.

It is not yet clear as to when the flying cars will be available for public use but the company made it clear people need to undergo training for months before they can drive and fly it.
