JULY 13, 2024 marks the shocking assassination attempt on former US President Donald Trump during his campaign rally speech in Butler, Pennsylvania.
Trump survived the assassination attempt after narrowly avoiding a bullet that grazed his right ear.
Among those who condemned the assassination attempt was former President Rodrigo Roa Duterte, who had been closely aligned with Trump during their respective terms.
President Ferdinand Marcos, Jr. also did not hesitate to condemn the attempt on Trump’s life.
“Together with all democracy-loving peoples around the world, we condemn all forms of political violence. The voice of the people must always remain supreme,” according to Pres. Ferdinand Marcos, Jr. – Republic of the Philippines.
He emphasized his strong condemnation of all forms of political violence.
However, former NTF-ELCAC spokesperson Dr. Lorraine Badoy questioned this statement by Marcos Jr.
“Once again, Bongbong Marcos shows that he is a good orator. But does he truly understand what he is saying? This is why we have been deceived,” Dr. Lorraine Badoy – Anchor, SMNI stated.
For Dr. Badoy, BBM represents political violence and oppression in the current situation in the country.
“This guy doesn’t know what he’s talking about, his words mean nothing because he is the very face of political violence and oppression,” Badoy added.
To recall, Badoy had previously condemned the administration’s actions against Pastor Apollo C. Quiboloy for hurling various accusations against the good Pastor.
This includes the revival of dismissed cases against Pastor Apollo C. Quiboloy and the indefinite suspension imposed on SMNI by the NTC, which Badoy claimed was a violation of their mandate.
Badoy also questioned the excessive use of force by heavily armed authorities against the religious compounds of the Kingdom of Jesus Christ on June 10, 2024, and the ten million peso bounty for Pastor Apollo, which was higher than bounties for wanted criminals proven guilty.
