Former President Rodrigo Duterte lauds newly minted Scout Rangers

Former Philippine President Rodrigo Roa Duterte lauded the newly minted Scout Rangers in a camp in San Miguel Bulacan.

“Always remember the people whom you have pledged to serve,”said Former Pres. Rodrigo Roa Duterte, Republic of the Philippines.

This is what Duterte has told the newly minted Scout Rangers who earned their “Tabak” badge during the closing ceremony of the 159 army and policemen at Camp Pablo Tecson, San Miguel, Bulacan on May 19, 2023, Friday.

Duterte graced the closing ceremony of the Scout Ranger Course (SRC) “Nasiglat” Class 219-2022 at the said camp.

The new Scout Rangers were lauded for gaining remarkable skill, stamina, and spirit they demonstrated during the course of their training.

In the middle of his speech, Duterte took the opportunity to thank the Scout Rangers for their valuable support and contributions in retaking Marawi from ISIS-inspired Maute terrorists when he was still the president.

“Now will also be an opportune time to thank the Scout Rangers for their valuable contributions in retaking the city of Marawi when I was president. I am deeply grateful for your service to our flag and country. Your dedication, commitment and resolve to perform your duty are truly commendable,” said Former Pres. Rodrigo Roa Duterte.

The former chief executive also emphasized the crucial role of the newly minted Scout Rangers in combat operations throughout the Philippines, such as defeating enemies of the state, upholding our sovereignty, and securing people’s liberty.

“Your technical knowledge and training will be valuable in defeating our enemies, upholding our country’s sovereignty, and securing our people’s liberty,” said FPRRD.

In account, 142 army soldiers and 17 policemen hurdled the 28-week SRC designed to develop soldiers into effective and lethal direct-action combatants specializing in small unit tactics, combat tracking, and neutralizing enemies by maximizing the elements of surprise and speed.

Meanwhile, Former PNP chief, and current Senator Ronald ‘Bato’ dela Rosa, who served as the guest of honor and speaker, also made an inspiring message to the participants to serve our country even if it causes their lives.

“When one lives and dies for the country, such life and such death shall never be in vain. To live and die for one’s country is an act of the highest honor and it is one that we are called upon to face, every single waking moment of our lives,” said Sen. Ronald ‘Bato’ dela Rosa.
