Former President Rodrigo Duterte arrived in Davao City on July 22, Saturday from his trip in China.
Together with him are former Executive Secretary Atty. Salvador Medialdea and Pastor Apollo C. Quiboloy of the Kingdom of Jesus Christ.
Duterte, now a private citizen, visited China to honor the life and legacy of his late mother, Soledad. Fondly known as ‘Nanay Soling,’ her roots trace back to Fujian province.
The former president was invited to attend the inauguration of the Soledad Roa Duterte Memorial Building at Fujian Normal University.
On the sidelines of their trip was a courtesy call to the Chinese President Xi Jinping where he personally extended gratitude for his friendship and the varied assistance extended to the Philippines.
