ON Wednesday, the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) said they have withdrawn from the West Bank City of Jenin after it launched its biggest military operations on Monday.

The IDF had sent hundreds of its troops into the area and carried out a series of drone strikes.

In response, Palestinians protested Tuesday and held up their flags and banners.

In the past 2 days, at least 12 Palestinians were killed, dozens injured and thousands have fled their homes.

According to the Palestinian Health Ministry, four of the Palestinians killed were under the age of 18, and at least 5 were claimed by Palestinian Militant Groups as fighters.

There were also exchanges of airstrikes and gunfire between the 2 camps.

After holding a meeting with the Palestinian Authority, President Mahmoud Abbas suspended contact and security cooperation with Israel on Monday

After their own people’s blood was shed.

The latest happenings warn of dire consequences and threaten stability as it drags people into an uncalculated circle of violence.

It can also be noted, that what is happening in Jenin greatly diminishes all chances to revive the peace process as well as hinders exerted efforts to restore calm.

Meanwhile, on Tuesday, the Arab League summoned its member states for an emergency meeting to discuss the situation in Jenin.
