NORTH Korean leader Kim Jong Un wants to maintain friendly relations with china which he relayed during a meeting with Beijing’s top legislator.
Kim and China’s top 3 officials Zhao Leji met recently at North Korea’s capital Pyongyang.
Zhao is the highest-ranking Chinese official to visit Pyongyang since the country reopened its borders last year following the paralyzing impact of the global pandemic.
China’s top legislator pledged to maintain Beijing’s friendly relations with its Communist neighbor and to safeguard the common interests of both nations.
Zhao also acknowledged the 75 years of friendly ties between their countries, fighting side by side, and sharing common development.
The meeting sparked hopes of a potential bilateral summit between North Korea and China.
