NANINDIGAN si Pastor Apollo Quiboloy ng The Kingdom of Jesus Christ, na isang pagsasayang lang ng oras ang kasong kinakaharap ni Pangulong Rodrigo Roa Duterte sa International Criminal Court (ICC).
Ayon kay Pastor Apollo, hindi ito magtatagumpay dahil sa suporta ng mga Pilipino sa laban ng pamahalaan kontra iligal na droga.
“Pagsasayang lang ng oras,” ganito ang pahayag ni Pastor Apollo matapos na makiusap ang ICC prosecutor Fatou Bensouda upang simulan na ang kanyang imbestigasyon kaugnay sa diumano’y human rights violation ni Pangulong Duterte sa ilalim ng kanyang drug war campaign.
Bwelta pa ng butihing Pastor, tanging mga kalaban lang ng pamahalaan ang hindi masaya sa mga hakbang ng pangulo partikular na sa usapin ng kriminalidad at iligal na droga.
Ani Pastor Apollo, masyadong malakas ang tama ng anti-illegal drugs ng Duterte Administration sa mga kalaban sa pulitika at mga durugista.
“I don’t think this will prosper. It’s just a waste of time and we the Filipinos are happy with what the President is doing. Who is not happy? Drug lords, the opposition politicians, the communists, the drug pushers, they are the ones that are not happy. But we Filipinos are happy for the peace and order that we are enjoying right now,” pahayag ni Pastor Apollo.
Naniniwala rin si Pastor Apollo na mahina ang kasalukuyang hawak na ebidensya ng ICC laban sa Pangulo na galing lamang sa mga media clippings mula sa mga kilalang oposisyon at kritiko ng pamahalaan.
“It will not prosper because the Filipino people will not condone it and will not support it because most of the accusations that are in her hands as information only comes from newspaper clippings, and mostly from opposition groups, like for example Rappler and then secondly ABS-CBN. All of these are sources of her information, just from those newspaper clippings. So what does that amount to? It does not amount to anything,” ayon pa sa butihing Pastor.
Iginiit pa ni Pastor Apollo na hinding hindi na maloloko ang mga Pilipino sa resulta ng mga programa ng Duterte Administrasyon kung saan nabawasan ang problema ng kriminalidad, korapsiyon at iligal na droga sa bansa.
Bagay aniya na hindi ito naiintindihan ng mga dayuhan na nais manghimasok sa bansa dahil wala sila dito sa Pilipinas kung saan droga aniya ang pangunahing dahilan ng mga naitatalang kaguluhan sa lipunan.
“For us Filipinos, we love the President, we love what he is doing. When he took over the drug problem in the Philippines, he did not know the enormity of the problem; and once he was in office he saw there were four million Filipinos who have been addicted to shabu, four million Filipinos who are into shabu. And you know, shabu is a mind altering drug that can make you become a criminal. That’s why there were rapes, there were murders, and robberies happening in the Philippines before our President took office. And this is what propelled him into office, the unabated lawlessness happening and the people are tired of it,” diin ni Pastor Apollo.
Sa kabila ng mga paninira ng mga taga oposisyon ay mayorya pa rin ng mga Pilipino ay pabor kay Pangulong Duterte.
“Now that he took over and took the problem by the horn, it diminished the problem of illegal drugs and criminality. That’s why the Filipinos are happy about it. He’s always done with his term, but yet his popularity is still above 90% because the Filipinos are happy with what he is doing,” ani Pastor Apollo.
Taong 2019 nang kumalas ang bansa bilang miyembro ng ICC sa pangunguna ni Pangulong Duterte.
Ayon pa kay Presidential Spokesperson Secretary Harry Roque, wala nang sapat na hurisdiksiyon ang ICC sa Pilipinas at hindi na ito sakop ng mandato ng naturang korte.
Sa panig naman ng Philippine National Police (PNP) na kadalasan nangunguna sa anti illegal drugs operations ng pamahalaan, nauna na nitong nilinaw na wala silang itinatago sa pamahalaan at sa mga alegasyon ng human rights.
Ayon kay PNP Chief Police General Guillermo Eleazar, bukas ang lahat ng kanilang dokumento sa mga posibleng pagsisiyasat na gagawin ng Department of Justice (DOJ) para patunayan ang ang sinasabing crime against humanity kung sangkot si Pangulong Duterte.
