THE Philippine Navy Officers’ Wives and Husbands Association, Inc. (PNOWHA) participated in “Rising Strong: The Military Spouses’ Journey – A Sharing on the Challenges and Triumphs of Military Wives,” as part of the National Women’s Month celebration, highlighting the resilience and strength of military spouses, organized by the Armed Forces of the Philippines Center for Law of Armed Conflict (AFPOLCI) on March 22, 2025, at Camp Aguinaldo in Quezon City.
Representing PNOWHA as a panelist, Captain Elvira R Gonzalez PN(GSC), The Naval Adjutant, shared her experiences balancing a career in the Philippine Navy with the unique challenges of being a military wife. She emphasized the importance of seeking support, encouraging fellow spouses to actively ask for help rather than solely relying on their partners in uniform.
The forum served as a platform for military spouses to exchange insights, inspire one another, and reinforce the vital role they play in supporting their families and the armed forces.
