ISINUSULONG ng industriya ng construction dito sa Cebu ang greenclusive para pagyamanin ang kasanayan tungo sa green building practices.
Sa isinagawang building a Greenclusive Construction Industry Forum sa Cebu, nagkaisa ang mga stakeholders sa construction industry katuwang ang Cebu Contractors Association, Habitat for Humanity, Department of Human Settlements and Urban Development at iba pang sektor upang isulong ang adbokasiya sa green building practices.
Ayon kay OIC Director Rowena Dineros, ng Public Housing and Settlements Service ng DHSUD, may kakulangan sa edukasyon at information dissemination sa mga LGU’s patungkol sa green building.
“’Yun ‘yung nakita kong challenge talaga, there’s gap, the info, the education on the part of all the stakeholders even in our industries the housing sector hindi pa siya ganun ka ano. We have only two agencies so far NHA and Home Development Mutual Fund so even in our sector we have to do this info campaign in this green technology, lalo na sa green and inclusive housing technology microfinance,” saad ni OIC Director Rowena Dineros, Public Housing and Settlements Service, DHSUD.
Kaya isinusulong ng DHSUD katuwang ang Habitat for Humanity na mapaabot sa karamihan ang mga impormasyong patungkol sa green housing.
Dagdag pa ni Dineros, magiging green building ang isang proyekto kapag ito ay tumatalima sa mga good practices ng isang green building.
“Comprises of a lot, we are talking here water, energy, efficiency, solar panel. It’s basically reducing the use of carbon and then of course reducing the cost of energy consumption. Ito ‘yung pinag-uusapan nating green technology which I do believe it should be available to all family or household in the country,” saad pa ni Dineros.
Kaugnay nito, kinilala ang ambag ng Mandaue City para sa kanilang green practices sa urban planning and architecture ng siyudad kasama na ang pagpasa sa Green Building Code: Adopting the Berde Certification na naging basehan ng mga stakeholders para gawing pilot ang nasabing syudad sa green inclusive housing technology microfinance project nito.
“We will be doing this with Mandaue and with Habitat for Humanity and this will be sort of like as we roll out this we want experience this local government unit of Mandaue in the entire country so (we) will be doing this not only for the LGU per se as one of the stakeholders but the whole (gamut) of stakeholders, the beneficiaries, the contractors/developers and of course the national government agencies present at the regional level,” ayon pa kay Dineros.
Ayon naman kay Jessan Catre, Philippine Country Director, ng Habitat for Humanity’s Terwilliger Center for Innovation in Shelter, napili ang lungsod ng Mandaue dahil sa kasanayan nitong mag-adapt ng green pactices.
“Mandaue really is bright spot or the green spot in the industry because they’ve been one of the earlier adaptors, so it’s a great foundation to start with and with the mayor’s intent to make sure that green is inclusive and really is appropriate for all Mandauehanons,” ani Jessan Catre, Philippine Country Director – Habitat for Humanity’s Terwilliger Center for Innovation in Shelter.
