Rep. Mike Turner blames Biden administration for potential nuclear escalation by Iran

ON Sunday, Rep. Mike Turner blamed the Biden administration’s policies for the possibility that Iran could declare itself a nuclear weapons state by the end of the year.

“What we see now with this administration, [Iran] might declare themselves a nuclear weapons state by the end of this year, with reports out suggesting that this is a possibility,” Rep. Mike Turner, Chairman, House Intelligence Committee, stated in an interview.

This statement by Turner was made in defense of recent remarks by Former President Donald Trump, who recently said he’s not looking to be antagonistic towards Iran and that the U.S. would be friendly to the country.

Turner also mentioned that while Trump is known to be anti-Iran, acknowledging the strength of one’s adversaries does not indicate weakness on his part.

Turner further argued that this situation would not have arisen under the Trump administration’s maximum pressure campaign.

He claimed that the flexibility and freedom Iran has experienced under the Biden administration have allowed them to influence U.S. elections, plot against Donald Trump, and continue advancing their nuclear weapons and enrichment programs.
