KAMAKAILAN ay nagsabi si Sen. Risa Hontiveros na dapat ay tanggalan ng license to own firearms si Pastor Apollo C. Quiboloy kasunod ng kasong kinakaharap nito ngayon.
Payo naman ni Atty. Israelito Torreon, bilang isang senadora na mayroong mga abogado sa kaniyang opisina, iresponsable ang pahayag na ito dahil hindi naman ito nakasaad sa batas.
Pangamba ni Torreon baka paniwalaan ng tao ang pahayag ng senadora kahit mali ang sinasabi nito.
“’Yung batas po dito July 2012 pa Comprehensive Firearms Act what are the grounds to revoke the license? To carry of a person ‘yung ano niya eh that is provided for under Section 39 and there are 10 grounds there and if you are merely accused of a crime is that a ground to revoke a license to own or permit? No, it’s not a ground and as a senator with an army of lawyers with her for lack of a better word highly irresponsible to suggest that which is not founded upon the laws,” pahayag ni Atty. Israelito Torreon, Legal Counsel ni Pastor Apollo C. Quiboloy.
“Kasi wala po dun sa Section 39 ‘yung sinabi nya na kesyo may kaso na si Pastor pwede na ipa-cancel yung kaniyang license to own eh hindi naman kailangan ni Pastor ‘yung baril e, ang punto ko po, senator po tayo dapat po sana magbasa-basa muna ng konti bago tayo magpa-interview sa media, kasi po marami naman po kayong mga followers po, kung hindi po kami iimik eh baka akalain ng mga supporters nyo tama po ‘yung sinasabi ninyo,” dagdag ni Atty. Torreon.
Binatikos din ni Torreon ang ipinapakalat ng senadora na mayroong private army umano ang butihing pastor.
Bago aniya kumuda eh magpakita muna ito ng ebidensiya mula sa Army at NICA bilang patunay sa mga akusasyon nito.
Malinaw naman na si Pastor ay namumuno sa isang kongregasyon at ang tanging mayroon aniya ito ay “Army of Prayer Warriors”
“I hope the good senator will be reminded that she is a senator of the Republic and that comes with certain responsibilities under the law and under our morals, good ethics and as a senator I think I do hope that she will not mind it if we will remind her that her statements with public should be backed up with evidence and should not be based on raw or unconfirmed information because what I know is may army si Pastor pero Army of Prayer Warriors po pero ‘yun mga armed army used na ‘yan sa atin ilang beses na ako nakaakyat sa Prayer Mountain at sa Glory Mountain, wala mang army roon, mga prayer warriors ni Pastor Quiboloy ang nakikita ko doon,” wika pa nito.
“Even in JMC may mga nagpepray sa kanya pero wala pong private army and as senator sana bago sya magsabi may confirmation na sya, may certification na sya na galing sa army confirming na may private army si Pastor Quiboloy because NICA would certainly have facts that would prove if the allegation is true,” aniya pa.
Lumalabas tuloy aniya na puro tsismis o marites lamang ang mga pahayag ng senadora dahil wala naman itong maipakitang katunayan sa kaniyang mga alegasyong ipinupukol sa butihing pastor ng Kingdom of Jesus Christ.
“Pero wala naman syang pinakitang ganun, rarely allegation lang so kumbaga para lang si senator na marites ‘wag naman sana ganun po kay baka kung palagi siya magganyan baka masabi na sya si senator marites kasi mahirap naman ‘yun na puro lang marites ‘yung basis nya, hindi naman po pwede ‘yun,” aniya.
