Tourism Secretary inducts newly elected officers and Board of Trustees of PTAA

TOURISM Secretary Christina Garcia Frasco inducted into office the newly elected officers and Board of Trustees of the Philippine Travel Agencies Association (PTAA) at the DOT Central office on Monday (Jan. 13).

The PTAA established in 1979, foster unity within the travel industry while advocating for the interests of its members and the traveling public. Over the years, PTAA has evolved into a leading and influential organization, making a significant impact both locally and internationally.

With a membership of over 500, PTAA is recognized as the premier association in the Philippine travel industry. It is highly regarded by international airlines, hotels, resorts, insurance companies, and cruise lines. PTAA works in close partnership with key government agencies such as the Department of Tourism, Department of Foreign Affairs, Tourism Promotions Board, Bureau of Immigration, Ninoy Aquino International Airport, National Census and Statistics Office, as well as various embassies and consulates.

Inducted into office were President Evangeline Manotok, Vice President Jaison Yang, Vice President for Outbound Evelyn Bondagjy, Vice President for Inbound Dominic Castillejos, Secretary General Arnel Gomez, Asst. Secretary General Rose Elena Cobarrubias, Treasurer Helena Ty, Asst. Treasurer Rolando Maramo, Auditor Amie Demapindan, PRO Charlene Del Rosario, Trustees Myra Bonifacio, Rowena Coloma, Cherry Caritativo, Kristoffer Kim Paollo Guzman, and Matthew Ronaldo Poonin.

Witnessing the induction ceremony were Undersecretaries Ferdinand Jumapao, Verna Buensuceso, and Assistant Secretaries Judilyn Quiachon and Ronald Conopio.
