U.S. aid is ‘a big scam’—geopolitical analyst

ACCORDING to a geopolitical analyst, Filipinos will not benefit from the United States’ promise worth billions of dollars of aid. But why?

‘‘But from the headlines of major media controlled by Americans like Inquirer, it seems like this is a genuine act of goodwill from the Americans, that this aid is real. That’s not true. It is a big swindle. It is a big scam,’’ according to Herman “Ka Mentong” Laurel, Geopolitical Analyst.

This was stated by Herman “Ka Mentong” Laurel, a geopolitical analyst, in an exclusive interview with SMNI News regarding the so-called aid from the United States to the Philippines.

Recently, two high-ranking U.S. officials visited the Philippines to supposedly grant the country $500 million in military financing and to demonstrate the strong relationship between the two countries.

However, it was later revealed that the $500 million has not yet been approved by U.S. lawmakers.

According to Ka-Mentong, the United States is just putting on a show.

‘‘They’re just putting on a show, saying they’re here, and that “we are family,” telling Bongbong Marcos what kind of scam they’re pulling on the Filipino people because the propaganda now is about the $500 million aid to the Philippines from the Americans,’’ Ka-Mentong added.

He also emphasized that even if the Philippines were to receive the promised aid from the Americans, it would not benefit Filipinos because it would only go towards second-hand or outdated military equipment from the U.S.

‘‘This could be used to purchase U.S. war equipment, which is often, if not always, second-hand war equipment,’’ Ka-Mentong said.

Ka Mentong further explained that China is not an enemy of the Filipinos because historically, China has engaged in trade and cooperation with various countries.

If there is an adversary, it could only be the U.S., as the U.S. does not want the Philippines to progress—something that Ferdinand Marcos Jr. is currently working on.

‘‘Because our economy is improving due to [former] President Duterte’s assistance from China, with projects like the Chico River Irrigation Dam, Kaliwa Dam project, and bridges in Makati, Binondo, Davao, and the projected Bicol Express for Mindanao, which have been canceled. After two years of Bongbong, none of these projects have started. The Americans are very pleased about that,’’ Ka-Mentong added.
