PINANGUNAHAN ni AFP chief of staff Lieutenant General Bartolome Vicente Bacarro ang pagbubukas ng AFP Joint Exercise (AJEX) DAGIT-PA sa AFP General Headquarters sa Camp Aguinaldo, Quezon City.
Ang DAGIT-PA ay isang AFP-wide/AFP-only exercise na lalahukan ng mahigit 1,500 active at reserve forces ng Philippine Navy, Philippine Air Force, Philippine Army, at AFP Special Operations Forces kasama ang Palawan Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction Management Office at Philippine Coast Guard.
Gagawin ang pagsasanay sa joint operational area ng AFP Western Command (WesCom) sa Palawan na tatagal hanggang Nobyembre 18.
Kabilang sa pagsasanay ay ang Air Defense/Counter-Air Operations, Maritime Security Operations, Amphibious Operations, Combined Arms Live Fire Exercises, Urban Operations, at Urban Warfare.
Iginiit ni General Bacarro na dahil sa lokal at pandaigdigang security situation ay palalakasin nila ang kanilang kakayahan sa pagsasagawa ng malawak operasyong panseguridad, pagtugon sa sakuna, at pagpapaunlad ng komunidad.
