Davao Occidental Rep. Claude Bautista pays courtesy visit to Pastor Apollo

DESPITE his hectic schedule, Pastor Apollo C. Quiboloy of the Kingdom of Jesus Christ—welcomed Davao Occidental Rep. Claude Bautista at the KJC Headquarters in Davao City on Friday.

The two leaders discussed matters concerning the lawmaker’s district in Davao Occidental and other issues over a simple dinner.

Bautista also expressed his gratitude to Pastor Apollo for the friendship and the time he spent with him.

He also expressed his admiration for the good Pastor for the ongoing construction of his mega product—the King Dome, which is the biggest indoor cathedral in the world.

Earlier this year, the two friends met at the ACQ-Tower in Makati City.

‘‘I was very surprised for the chance given to me to tour the King Dome. It was my first time to see that we have a world-class stadium here in Davao City. We can be proud of this internationally. And the entrance, when I saw it, it’s grander than Las Vegas, and I’m very proud of Pastor’s projects. I can’t imagine that he can imagine the unimaginable,’’ according to Cong. Claude Bautista.

‘‘We are old friends, he had come to see me and we had a chat about peace, and about his visit to us, and our visit to them, especially Cong. Claude Bautista, he’s an old friend of the ministry, he’s from Davao…Davao Occidental, he’s the congressman din. I’ve visited his place before and I think I will visit him again also. Anything in the Kingdom is world-class because we have the Revolution of excellence. We are also proud that this is a landmark of the Philippines and is found here in Davao—our home town,’’ Pastor Apollo C. Quiboloy, said.

Rep. Bautista supports confidential funds to prevent insurgency, recruitment

On the other hand, Rep. Bautista also expressed the supposed confidential funds of the office of Vice Pres. Sara Duterte and the Department of Education to focus on the concerns of the students, and teachers, and to combat insurgency.

The lawmaker added that most of the recruitment of the communist groups begins in the classrooms, which is an important matter to be addressed.

‘‘We know that these insurgencies, the leftist insurgency come from the students and teachers. So how do we know what’s happening in our students, if students were already converted, as young as 9 years old, 10 years old, being recruited by the NPAs. How do we know this if nobody would care to know, scrutinize it? Bautista added that Vice Pres. Duterte is not also pushing hard to have the confidential funds—and that there is no need to make it controversial,’’ Rep. Bautista stated.
