DSWD leads inter-agency efforts on zero hunger

THE Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD), represented by Assistant Secretary for Innovations Atty. Baldr. H Bringas, presides the 5th Regular Meeting of the Inter-Agency Task Force on Zero Hunger (IATF-ZH) at the Sequoia Hotel in Quezon City on April 30 (Tuesday).

The meeting aims to discuss efforts on the improvement of the National Food Policy particularly on the updating of member-agencies per Key Result Areas (KRAs) and their enrolled programs, activities, and projects (PAPs) related to zero hunger.

A draft resolution was also presented which designates the DSWD as the lead agency in the Enhanced Partnership Against Hunger and Poverty – EPAHP Program, in relation to the recently issued Memorandum Circular No. 47, series of 2024.

Attending the meeting were representatives from different partner-agencies including the Department of Agriculture (DA), Department of Agrarian Reform (DAR), Department of Education (DepEd Philippines), Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR), Department of Health (Philippines) (DOH), Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE), Department of Interior and Local Government (DILG), Department of Trade and Industry (DTI), Department of Science and Technology (DOST), Presidential Communications Office (PCO), National Economic and Development Authority (NEDA) and Commission on Higher Education (CHED).
