Female cadet tops PNPA ‘Layag-Diwa’ Class 2024

CAMILLE Cabasis from Lian, Batangas emerged as topnotcher of the Layag-Diwa Class of 2024 of the Philippine National Police Academy

She said that her journey within the academy until her graduation was far from easy.

Cabasis recalled her college days when she worked as a photocopy center attendant. She also sold siopao to help her pay for her expenses.

This also proved that being a woman does not prevent someone from achieving their goals in life, particularly when it comes to entering institutions like the PNPA.

She said that she is not just a woman, but a woman who can contribute to society.

While giving her speech onstage, Cabasis emphasized that poverty should not hinder the pursuit of dreams- and that believing in yourself and having faith in God are also important.

Out of 223 graduates, the PNP dominated as the most number of graduates who aspire to be Part of the National Police, followed by the Bureau of fire Protection and the Bureau of Jail and Penology (BJMP).

Cabasis, meanwhile, will join the PNP with the rank of Police Lieutenant.
