FORMER Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Sen, the longest-serving leader in the country’s history, urged Hamas to release its hostages and reminded Israel to keep its promise of not bombing civilians in Gaza.
Hun Sen, who now serves as president of the Supreme Privy Council to the King, called for an end to the violence through social media.
The so-called Cambodia’s strongman warned that the Gaza Strip will become the world’s largest massacre site” without a ceasefire.
Hun Sen led Cambodia for more than 38 years, which made him the longest-serving leader in the country’s modern history.
Cambodia has condemned all acts of terrorism and violence against innocent civilians and relayed its condolences to the families who lost their loved ones in the ongoing war.
While Cambodia condemned the violence and the loss of thousands of innocent lives, the country remains neutral in the ongoing conflict.
