India’s Modi receives warm welcome in Dubai

INDIAN Prime Minister Narendra Modi was greeted with cheers and enthusiasm as he arrived in Dubai to attend the United Nations Climate Change Summit.

Modi landed at the Dubai International Airport where he was received by Sheikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Interior Minister on Thursday.

The Indian Prime Minister joined other world leaders in the yearly Conference of Parties to the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change also known as COP28.

Modi said he was deeply moved after receiving a special and enthusiastic greeting from the Indian community in Dubai.

The Indian leader addressed the opening session of the UN climate change summit in the UAE on Friday, December 1.

The 28th edition of the climate change conference started on Thursday, November 30, and will run until December 12.

Modi traveled to Dubai upon the invitation of the President of UAE and Ruler of Abu Dhabi, His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan.
