Leaked Pentagon documents reveal U.S. meddling in Russia-Ukraine conflict

THE United States is facing what apparently looks like its worst intelligence leak since whistleblowers Edward Snowden and Jullian Assange.

This is after a new score of classified U.S. military documents was published on social media just last week.

The said documents also include the depth of America’s meddling in the Russia-Ukraine conflict.

The international community is in shock after a score of leaked Pentagon documents circulated online, with various well-known media outlets reporting on how deeply the United States has meddled in the conflict between Russia and Ukraine.

Leaked Pentagon documents reveal the depth of the U.S.’s meddling in the Russia-Ukraine conflict.

Recently, there were screenshots of what looks to be classified U.S. and NATO military information about Ukraine have been found on various social media sites.

Screenshots of these documents appear to contain the military strength of Ukraine, including weapon configurations, battlefield maps, casualties from both Moscow and Kyiv forces, and even intelligence marked as top secret.

On Thursday, the New York Times reported that someone has uploaded numerous secret military documents, possibly more than a hundred, on various social media sites.

These documents apparently also have details concerning the Middle East.

If proven to be true, the newspaper said these leaked Pentagon documents would mean that the United States is more deeply involved in the conflict and more supporting of providing Ukraine intelligence than previously known.

Some of the documents are photos of battlefield maps with detailed labeling and varying dates. The time of photos spans about five weeks, with the most recent date being March 1.

Other documents contain information on troops’ training and weapons deliveries for Ukraine, as well as the consumption rate of Ukrainian ammunition.

One “top secret” document shows a US assessment of the situation in the city of Bakhmut, which has largely come under Russia’s control after months of intense fighting.

Another “top secret” document states that 16,000 to 17,500 Russian soldiers had been killed, while Ukrainian forces had suffered over 71,000 troop deaths by March 1.

The Pentagon has estimated that Russian forces have suffered far more casualties, however, with closer to 200,000 killed and injured, while Ukrainian forces have had more than 100,000 killed and injured.

This was also followed by a new score of leaked documents that include sensitive material related not only to Ukraine but also to China, the Middle East, and terrorism, with the N.Y.T. stating that the scale of the breach appears to have caught the White House off guard.

The Pentagon said that it would investigate the issue.

The US justice department, on the other hand, announced its own separate investigation and that it is in communication with US military officials.

Neither side has shared further details on the matter.

Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov earlier said that Russia does not have the slightest doubt about direct or indirect U.S. and NATO involvement in the conflict between Moscow and Kyiv.

Following the prior Pentagon documents leak in recent days, U.S. officials said they were working to remove such materials from the internet. However, their efforts appear to have been unsuccessful so far, as there are still many documents that remain accessible through social media sites, including Twitter.
