THE death toll from the ongoing Palestine-Israel conflict has surpassed 13,400, according to the official data released by the both sides.
According to the Hamas-run government media office in Gaza, the death toll from the Palestinian side has increased to 12,000, including about 5,000 children and 3,300 women.
More than 30,000 people have also been injured in the Gaza Strip, with over 75 percent being women and children.
Meanwhile, the Israeli side had not updated their casualty figures as of Friday, but their previous data estimated that around 1,200 Israelis had been killed since the Hamas attack on October 7.
The Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) on Friday said it struck several targets in the Gaza Strip and continued its search operation at Al-Shifa Hospital, Gaza’s largest medical facility.
Meanwhile, Hamas said it fired rockets at Israel on the same day.
IDF further said that the Israeli Air Force air raided multiple Hamas targets in the Gaza Strip, and the Israeli ground forces continued operations in northern part of the enclave.
In a raid on a school, the Israeli military killed many Hamas operatives and seized a large amount of weapons.
They also took control of a command post where a Hamas commander was hiding.
An Israeli military spokesperson said on Friday they would strike anywhere with a Hamas presence, including southern Gaza Strip.
At least 9 IDF soldiers killed, 62 military vehicles destroyed—Hamas
Meanwhile, an Al Jazeera report citing a spokesperson for the Al-Qassam Brigades said on Friday evening that Hamas had made preparations for long-term defense in Gaza.
In the past four days, they had completely or partially destroyed 62 Israeli military vehicles and killed at least 9 Israeli soldiers in two separate operations.
Moreover, an apartment housing Israeli special forces in Beit Hanoun region of Gaza was destroyed.
The Israeli military has not responded to these claims so far.

Meanwhile, the Israeli forces released a video claiming that Hamas placed rockets inside the bed of a little girl and anti-tank missiles inside a baby stroller
Later on Friday night, the Al-Qassam Brigades declared firing rockets at Israel.
Air raid sirens were reportedly heard in Tel Aviv and the Iron Dome intercepted several rockets. Israel has not reported any casualties or damage so far.
Israeli forces had also conducted operations in multiple locations across the West Bank overnight from Thursday to the early hours of Friday and this resulted in clashes with local Palestinians.
IDF arrests 21 wanted Palestinians during West Bank operations
At least five armed persons were killed in its action in the West Bank city of Jenin. The Israeli forces also arrested 21 wanted Palestinians in the West Bank, including six who are Hamas militants.
The IDF said it had taken control of IBN Sina Hospital in the city on Friday, and that some Palestinian gunmen had fled to the medical facility in vehicles and ambulances after military clashes in Jenin.
According to a statement from the Palestinian Ministry of Health, clashes between Israeli forces and Palestinians in the West Bank cities of Hebron and Jenin on Friday left at least five Palestinians dead.
