Ramon Tulfo to face raps for excessive defamation against Pastor ACQ

COLUMNIST Mon Tulfo’s Facebook post contains severe defamation against Pastor Apollo C. Quiboloy.

The legal team of the respected pastor, underscored the unfairness of involving Pastor Apollo’s deceased parents in propaganda.

Aside from his parents, Tulfo also implicated Pastor’s siblings in his defamation.

“This violation, double marites [rumors]—I call it, double [rumors]! why double [rumors]? He assumed as true that the parents were first cousins and even granting for the sake of argument that it’s true, what value would it help to strengthen his argument against Pastor? And secondly, it’s also untrue that pastor’s siblings have intellectual disabilities, and it’s a non sequitur, it does not follow! even granting for the sake of argument that all of that is true, it does not necessarily follow that Pastor Apollo C. Quiboloy also has a malicious mind. This is utterly libelous,” said Atty. Israelito Torreon, Legal Counsel of Pastor Apollo C. Quiboloy.

The legal team also questioned Tulfo’s credibility, as he has been sued and arrested for cyber libel.

They mentioned that they would overlook Tulfo’s Facebook post considering his age.

However, if he decides to publish the defamation in his Abante column, Pastor Apollo’s camp assures that Tulfo will face numerous lawsuits.

“Let’s not involve his parents and siblings and let’s keep the discussion at a respectable level. Let us agree to disagree, but let us not destroy the character or reputation of our fellow man,” Torreon added.

The Kingdom of Jesus Christ (KOJC) has 7-M members in the Philippines and worldwide.

All are ready to sue the elderly Tulfo in various courts across the country for defaming Pastor Apollo.

KOJC members deeply respect Pastor Apollo, and they will not tolerate anyone tarnishing the credibility and name of the esteemed pastor.

Pastor ACQ’s legal team warns vs defamers

Meanwhile, Tulfo claims to have a source for the defamation against Pastor Apollo. A female source whom he did not name. So, the camp warns the said source.

“We have doubts about who this is. It might be Blenda Portugal again or these—maybe I could also be wrong. But, make sure that your sources are telling the truth,” said Torreon.

The camp also warned against libelous and incriminating comments on Tulfo’s Facebook post.

Especially since freedom of expression is not absolute and there are limits to defamation.

“There are Supreme Court decisions which ruled that even if you just comment irresponsibly, and then you subscribe to the libelous matter, you may also be liable. That’s why I would request to our countrymen to be careful in commenting, especially if you have no basis,” he concluded.
