Supporters, police clash outside Imran Khan’s residence

PAKISTANI former Prime Minister Imran Khan was under threat of arrest on Wednesday as police and supporters clashed outside his residence in Lahore.

In a video posted by Khan on his Twitter account, police can be seen firing straight into unarmed citizens at Zaman Park.

In his post, Khan accused authorities of attacking citizens as if they were an enemy force on the battlefield.

Imran Khan says the real intent of arrest is to ‘abduct, assassinate’

Meanwhile, in another Twitter post earlier, khan posted a video and an image of bullets.

“Clearly “arrest” claim was mere drama because real intent is to abduct & assassinate. From tear gas & water cannons, they have now resorted to live firing. I signed a surety bond last evening, but the dig refused to even entertain it. There is no doubt of their mala fide intent,” Khan said.

In the latest development of the initiative to arrest Khan, the Lahore high court ordered police to stop the operation to arrest him until 10 am on Tuesday.

The announcement came after a petition filed by Pakistan Tehreek-E-Insaf or PTI leader Fawad Chaudhry seeking to stop the “atrocities” outside of Khan’s residence.
